It is our pleasure to invite you to participate in the Landscape of User Experience in Switzerland (LUXS) 2011 event, which will take place on September 8th, 2011 from 3PM to 8PM at the University of Zurich, followed by an optional informal dinner. This untraditional event, organized jointly by the University of Zurich and the SI Software Ergonomics aims to bridge the academic and industry UX communities in Switzerland. LUXS is an opportunity to meet people conducting research in Human-Computer Interaction, Usability, Interaction Design and related areas, promote your activities in these areas, and gain exposure to the current landscape and future direction of UX research taking place throughout Switzerland in a dynamic and exciting forum.

Attached please find the AAL Info-Event Zürich 2011 in Zurich on 1 April 2011, hosted by the ICT Accessibility Group of the Swiss Informatics Society and the Federal Office for Professional Education and Technology (OPET). The event addresses all Swiss stakeholders interested in participating in the upcoming AAL call 4; it will give an overview of the AAL Joint Programme, provide essential information on call 4 (subjects, application procedure, funding rules etc.) and present a showcase of a running AAL project in Switzerland.

Hi everyone!
I’m back from my wonderful three months of travelling and and happy to see that quite some new members joined the group, welcome! I hope to see you soon.
Now the question is on how to proceed. We have talked several times about discussing “Designing for the Digital Age” in tranches (it’s about six hundert pages, if I remember correctly). My suggestion would be to finally tackle this, starting in March, and meet again in April and May.

- Jahresbericht 2009/10
Fällt sehr knapp aus, da alle viel Beschäftigt waren. WUD 2009 war klasse. Etwas grosses auf die Beine gestellt. A. Markus zusammen mit Swiss CHI workshop. München Int. UPA wird kurz angesprochen.
- Statutenänderungen
Statuten müssen nicht geändert werden.
- Wahl des Vorstandes 2010
Astrid Göbel (Präsident), Björn Bölle (Vize-Präsident) und Roland Studer treten aus dem Vorstand der Swiss UPA zurück. Zur Wahl stehen:
Präsident: Vera Brannen, Vize-Präsident: Nitai Aventaggiato, Aktuar: Astrid Göbel, Finanzen: Urs Zimmermann , Web & Marketing: Marco Niedermann & Florian Nyffenegger , Regionale Betreuer: Björn Bölle (Bern), Pascal Magenat (West-Schweiz), Florian Nyffenegger (Zentral-Schweiz). Alle empfohlenen Personen wurden einstimmig angenommen.
- Wahl der Revisoren 2010

- Dechargen-Erteilung des Vorstand 2009
Urs Zimmermann trägt den Jahrsabschluss 2009 und Kontoauszug 2010 vor. Die Dechargen-Erteilung wird einstimmig dem Vorstand 2009 zugeteilt.

Es sind keine Anträge eingegangen.
- Aktivitäten 2010
WUD 2010 (Teilnahme für Mitglieder kostenfrei) . Swiss CHI und Swiss UPA Events werden “zusammengelegt” (ca. 10 Events im Jahr) Workshops

Mitgliedschaft 250.-
Studenten 80.- Mitglieder der Int. UPA 120.- Vorstands-Mitglieder werden angehalten der Int. UPA beizutreten und der Swiss UPA einen Beitrag von 120.- zu zahlen. Die neuen Mitgliederbeiträge und Vorstand-Beiträge werden einstimmig angenommen.
- Varia
Eine Haftpflichtversicherung für den Verein wird abgeschlossen. Björn Bölle wird sich darum kümmern und dem Vorstand unterbreiten. XING-Gruppe für die Swiss UPA einrichten.
